Amber & Darren, Pebble Beach Wedding 02.18.11

 

I met Amber, a fellow photographer, on a job and promptly decided I liked her warmth and honesty. We chatted for hours, becoming fast friends. A few months later,  I was crying behind my camera as she read her vows to this man she loves. Their wedding was every photographers dream, but in reality what I loved about it was the soulful way in which they brought glory to God. So tender and true. 

  

BAGPIPES AT SUNSET 02.18.11

As we were working on a post of Darren & Amber's wedding at Pebble Beach, I was charmed all over again by the plodding bagpiper that plays his tunes at sunset along the shores at The Inn At Spanish Bay. And since I couldn't choose between these three, I decided to create a mini post with them. Enjoy!

THE BEACH AT CARMEL

I do so miss the ocean! Pretty hues of sky, water and sand.... and I breath deeper, laugh easier. It's pure therapy.

SWEET SPOT

I have a series of posts cooking which I can hardly wait for you to see but in the meantime here is one shot from the beach in Carmel.  I just love the snappy black birds and old school feel. It could easily have been taken along the shores in Portugal, my old stomping grounds. Bliss!   

For anyone interested, this was shot on Neopan 1600 (had some shots left at the end of the roll) with my Canon 1V.  Film grain is plain cool.
